Unplug the machine and close the water supply. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Is it safe to run a Kenmore 722 that shows AE or E1? No, the machine has detected water where it should not be, so unplug it and close the supply. Look under the front for water sitting in the cabinet base before anything else. ### Could AE on a Kenmore 722 be caused by something other than a leak? Sears also lists a low water level that makes the pump spin too fast.
