The shutoff valve for the dishwasher line in the sink base, the house main shutoff, and the breaker that feeds the dishwasher. Labeling the breaker takes a minute and saves a lot of guessing later. ### Is it safe to leave a dishwasher running overnight or while out? Many owners do, but a leak or an electrical problem then runs unnoticed for hours. A water alarm under the sink and a machine that is not showing any warning signs make it a smaller risk. ### When does a dishwasher problem become an emergency?
