FTD stands for failure to drain: the cycle ended its pump-out and the tub still held water. Some GE models show the same condition as F56.

Water did not leave the tub in the time the control expects. A clogged filter, a kinked hose or a blocked disposal inlet are ruled out before the drain pump.

Look along the drain hose for a kink or a crushed section under the sink.
Clean the air gap and run the disposal so the outlet is open.
If the tub still holds water after a new cycle, book a visit.

Do not pour drain cleaner into the dishwasher tub. It can damage seals and the pump, and it is not what GE tells owners to use.
