On a Samsung Waterwall dishwasher, 1E means water is not getting through the filter. Samsung writes it 1E or IE.

Remove and clean the fine filter at the bottom of the tub, following your user manual. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What is 1E reporting on my Samsung Waterwall?
On Waterwall machines the code means water is failing to pass through the fine filter in the tub floor. Samsung may also print it as IE.
Why would 1E return on my Waterwall right after I cleaned the filter?
A filter that was cleaned but not locked back firmly can still cause trouble, so refit it the way your manual shows. If 1E comes back with the filter clean and seated, a technician should take over.
