What is particular

The 700 Series manual covers the F7DWT24FI1, F7DWS24FI1 and F7DWT24SS1: 24-inch, 15 place settings, eight programs, Turbo Dry and 42 dB(A), with the F7DWS24FI1 listed as an ADA-compliant standard tub. The 18-inch F1DWS18FI1 is a simpler machine with 10 place settings, six programs and super active drying.

A light on the floor that reports status

On models with the Infoled, a light under the door shines on the floor to show what the machine is doing. Steady red means running, green means finished, and red flashing rapidly means the machine has stopped on an error code, which is the first thing to note when booking.

Codes the owner can act on, and codes that need a visit

The 700 Series manual lists FF for water inlet, F2 for a drain that cannot empty and F1 for overflow. FF and F2 have owner checks first: open the water tap and clean the inlet hose filter, or clear the drain hose and filters. F3, F5, F6, F7, F8, F9 and HI go straight to service.

A salt water softener with its own setting

These models carry a water softener that uses dishwasher salt, with an SL level set from the control panel and set to 1 at the factory. Well water or very hard water needs a higher setting, and a loose salt cap or spilled salt shows up as white film or rust spots on the dishes.

Overflow protection and an air break built in

The specification lists an air break with a drain back-siphonage preventer and overflow and leakage protection. When the overflow protection trips, the display shows F1 and the manual's instruction is to unplug the machine and close the water tap before anything else.

The light on the floor under my Fulgor Milano dishwasher is flashing red very fast. What does that mean?
On models with the Infoled, red flashing rapidly means the machine has stopped on an error code. Slow red flashing means a program was canceled, and steady red means it is running. Check the display for the code before you book a visit.
My dishwasher shows FF. Is it broken?
FF is a water inlet problem. The manual's first steps are to make sure the tap is open and water is flowing, then to separate the inlet hose from the tap and clean the filter in the hose. If FF comes back after that, book a visit.
Do I really need to put salt in it?
If your model has the softener, yes, in hard-water areas. Use only dishwasher salt; table salt does not dissolve properly and damages the softener. The manual suggests adding salt roughly every 20 to 30 cycles, and a salt cap left loose causes white or rusty marks on dishes.
