What the dishwasher maintenance and filter cleaning
involves.
Most current dishwashers use a manual filter that has to be cleaned by hand, and many owners do not know it is there. Grease and food collect in it, the wash water gets dirtier, and the machine starts leaving film, grit and smells behind. A maintenance visit removes and cleans the filter, clears the spray arm jets, descales where the water is hard, checks the door gasket and the drain hose loop, and looks at the base pan for early signs of a leak. It is the cheapest line on the cost page and prevents several of the lines above it.
